Macarons again

Yes. It's been a while since I last made these cute but sweet (very sweet) little things. I recently bought Hisako Ogika's 'I Love Macarons' and got really inspired. I find the book useful with all the tips including what you can do with all the leftover egg yolks. I made a batch of pistachio macarons today and I really love the natural pastel green colour. They might not be the most perfect macs but good enough for me.

I want i want! Am I getting some??? They look gorgeous. It's something I fear making. What do you do with egg yolks??

Thanks!I made a custard with the yolks this time round. Sometimes, I would just add eggs to make omelette for meals.

What's on top of the macarons, J? Is that pistachio? Can't make them out.

Did you buy the book from Amazon or from local bookshop?

Hey D, I bought the book from Times bookstore. If you want to start your adventure with macarons, I feel it is a good buy. You can, of course research online for more tips. For all my failed attempts, I tend to learn something new. Yes,it's pistachio on top. Those are the remaining bits after grounding the pistachios to powder form. So, why waste them right? Just use for decor..ha!ha!
